About Robert Meltzer

Robert Meltzer has a long history of teaching and working with children.  He began working with My Gym in 1989 as a martial arts instructor.  He then purchased his first My Gym franchise in 1997.Thereafter, he continued teaching martial arts and also became a My Gym instructor as well.  He currently owns three My Gym Children’s Fitness Centers.  Recently, Robert was commissioned by the My Gym franchise to develop the martial arts program he has taught for over 25 years into a core program to be used in all My Gyms worldwide.

Robert is dedicated to being a positive influence and role model for the children he teaches as well as his co-workers.  He has won My Gym Franchisee of the Year on two occasions, and he was the first recipient of the My Gym Worldwide Franchisee of the Year.  Robert enjoys every aspect of operating a successful business, but his greatest passions are teaching and community building.
